Generals was the second game to be released from the team at Westwood Pacific (at this point called EA Pacific) and introduced 3 brand new factions in an exaggerated modern warfare setting. It was a departure from the usual C&C format which polarised fans at first but, over time it has earned it's place amongst the other entries in the series.
